Bet England Euro 2016
The Three Lions are traditionally serial underachievers on the international stage, however England have lost just one of their last 16 matches, recording 13 victories.
With a host of young stars in the squad and a perfect qualifying the stage is set for a successful tournament.
Here are some tips and strategies to bet England Euro 2016.
For too long England have relied on Wayne Rooney as their main source of goals. While a brilliant forward, he has often suffered from a lack of goals in finals. Now the Three Lions have Harry Kane and in-form Jamie Vardy to bolster their attacking options.
Despite not being as talented as Rooney, Vardy’s determination and hard work have seen him flourish this season. While bereft of Mahrez, the likes of Alli, Sterling and Barkley offer great creativity behind him.
With England likely to only field one of Kane or Vardy, with Rooney playing behind, their respective domestic form and England’s friendlies line-ups will be the best indicator of the first choice forward.
Tip: considering his Premier League form, if Jamie Vardy is the first choice number 9 he is a great choice for England’s top scorer.
Bet England in Group Stages of Euro 2016
Qualify for the last 16
Barring a total capitulation, England should have no trouble making it through the group stages. Wales will provide the toughest test, but Russia and Slovakia should be easy enough to overcome. Especially based on the strength of England’s qualification, where they won every single game, a feat that no other side managed.
Bet England will Finish top of the group
With just three games in the group stages, and England’s infamously slow starts, finishing top is a riskier bet than it should be. The fact they start off against Russia, and not Wales, should negate this, and hopefully give England time to get into the swing of things.
Odds on England to come first are currently around evens, offering a good return on your stake.
Tip: at lost rests on how England starts, if they beat Russia in the opening game of Group B, they should claim top.
For more ambitious punters, and England’s most hopeful fans, England are 6th favourites to win outright with most major bookies, ahead of the likes of Belgium and Italy.
England are going into Euro 2016 with an excellent squad, with far more depth than we have seen in previous international tournaments.
An injury to Joe Hart or Wayne Rooney would have proven disastrous just a few seasons ago, now there is able backup in Butland, Kane and Vardy. In fact many have suggested they should start over their more experienced teammates.
In the midfield emerging talents like Barkley, Dele Alli and Sterling have replaced the old guard of Gerrard and Lampard, and the defence features an array of promising defenders.
While England lack the superstars that fill the German and Spanish squads, their exceptional run of form in the group stages showed huge promise.
At 11/1 they’re an excellent candidate for an outsider wager, but knowing England, will crash out in the last 16.
Tip: don’t wager money on England to be Euro 2016 champions that you wouldn’t be afraid to lose!
